Mom's Looking at buying a new car(her first)
My mom is looking at buying her first new car. She currently drives an 04 Impala LS with the 3.8L V6
She is looking at the Cruze Eco. She just likes the looks of the car and fell in love with one at the dealer. My stepdad is looking at getting her a Subaru Forester possibly? Pretty much because he gets a larger discount through where he works. ( I think its a bad idea) Anyway, how can I get her to also check out the Focus and possibly even the Fiesta? I just don't want her to get this car and then regret it, or just make a rash decision based on sitting in one car. Any advice? Also which would you advise? She drives about 20mins a day(mostly highway) to work. Thats one way. He car is the one we take when we go visit family about 2 hours away. Thats about the extent of her driving.

When I said Focus she said "I don't like the Focus" and she hasn't even been in a focus, especially not the new ones.

RE: Mom's Looking at buying a new car(her first)
I think she'll love the Focus. Really upscale for the money. Have her check the Elantra and possible Sonata too. I know females tend to love the new Hyundai design.
Another big plus is the Chrysler 200. She'll get a nice package for a cheap price. "Don't be jealous, be inspired"-CTS-Vluvr Follow @nell_tarantino |

I would also look into maybe a small crossover like the Sportage, Escape,Equinox,etc...

Subaru's are always nice.
Cruze or Focus are two very good choices. Possibly look at Malibu, wait till incentives hit a peak then jump on it.

I'd put her in a Focus to test, regardless of whether she thinks she'll like it or not. The image in her mind when she hears Focus is probably the last gen... a horrifying mental image indeed. She'll be very surprised by the new Focus, probably just as much as the new Cruze must have surprised her/

RE: Mom's Looking at buying a new car(her first)
First off, regardless of what you my think about any car (and yes, I think it would be a shame if she didn't check out the Focus), your mother is (and I know this may be a shock to you :WINK
a woman. There is nothing more obstinant than a woman that has her mind set AGAINST something. Guys you can say the same thing about in the opposite sense. This short lesson on women is one that you may want to remember in your dealings with the fairer sex that you aren't related to, as well. No charge for this most valuable piece of advice. |

2011 Dodge Charger V6 rallye, gets 27 hwy, has tons of great options like heated and cooled cup holders, heated and cooled seats, and the 8 inch touch screen. And its roomy!
This country can’t be knocked out with one punch. We get right back up again and when we do the world is going to hear the roar of our engines. Yeah, it’s halftime America. And, our second half is about to begin.

It'd be harder to get her in the 200 after the problems we had with out 04 Stratus(traded it in on the Impala before it could die on us). Not just the car itself but the dealer wasn't very easy to deal with. I mentioned the Hyundai to her but she wants to stick to American(which I can appreciate)

RE: Mom's Looking at buying a new car(her first)
Well they decided not to get one. She's just going to keep driving her car and get it payed off. Who knows maybe when they want to finally get rid of it I'll be able to buy it ha.
