Timing may not be everything, but it counts for a lot. If Honda hadn’t first dumbed down its compact mainstay, the Civic, we might have expected more from a little Acura based on it. And if Acura hadn’t built this car once before, we might not have expected another good little sedan.

Proof that Honda has lost their way... also 'FINALLY' someone agrees that the Honda 4-banger is buzzy and can be crude.

The looks aren't bad, but this is pretty much what I was wondering when the TSX got bigger. I guess the ILX is the replacement to the original TSX while the current one is just bigger. Its sad the dynamics aren't there. To be honest, there isn't a car in Honda's lineup (or Acura's) that makes me enjoy driving it.

Agreed Rev... I drove a friend of a friends '12 Civic a couple weeks ago (yea I was a DD ) and to be honest with you... our older Civic has a better interior, more get up and go (which isn't saying a whole lot) and the driving feel was close to a Corolla I drove last year. Definitely not what Honda's have been known for over the years.

Also 6.9 seconds to 60 in this thing isn't that great... if it did have an auto it would be much worse so it's pretty much ' just weak'

I'd take a Civic Si over this every day and twice on Sunday.
Looks better, isn't pretending to be a luxury car, and has an LSD.
