Hiroshi Masuoka recorded 4 minutes 37 seconds for his first run and was aiming for an even better time in the second but entered a corner too fast, couldn’t complete the turn and ran off the course.

Masuoka has not sustained any significant injury and is fit. This is not expected to have any adverse impact on his participation in the final race.

Damage to his machine includes distortion of the front section of the pipe frame, and the steering gear box is broken but there is no damage to the electrical system.

Team staff are pulling out all efforts to repair the machine for Masuoka’s participation in the final race!
