The flaw here is that the prius was the only high mpg hybrid for years, the rich buyer who buys luxurycars gets a prius as a commuter car or show off car, the spread of actual luxurycars is too diverse

"eco-luxury" likely refers to the fact that the Prius is heavily purchased by customers of luxury vehicles.
It's no surprise that the Prius is the hybrid of choice of the wealthy, it has been for years. I don't know why posters here are crying about it.

If they really cared about the environment, they wouldn't drive or own automobiles.
I wonder what will happen to landfills when all those wonderful hybrid batteries go bad?
By the way Kamikaze, what do you drive?

Dumb comment.

Hybrid's are overrated. All green cars are laughable and the only reason they sell so well in California is because the dickless wonder's that inhabit that shithole think they are saving the world from the rest of us, but the reality is, they are only fooling themselves or BP, or Kamakazekid.

What I think this points out is the premium hybrid price doesn't make economic sense to be purchased by the populace.

In addition, the thought process misses that in California owns of hybirds until very recently had the right to drive in HOV lanes without another person in the car. Also, seeing as time is money, this policy increased demand for these cars dramatically as it cut time in traffic significantly.

I have a friend that lives in LA. She purchased a civic hybrid and her husband has a hybrid Slade exactly for that reason. She is losing her HOV tag and will mostly likely purchase a Volt so she can get on back. Driving in the HOV lane makes her drive to work only 25 mins compared to 45 in the non-HOV lanes.

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here? Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?
