$45K for a 2.0T Premium with the manual is too good to pass up.

RE: ATS 2.0T vs Regal 2.0T
As the Tire Master, I have declared a new choice.

In the inevitable case I buy a 2.0T Premium, sized 225/40/18 front, 255/35 rear, I shall get (as replacements for the stock Bridgestone Potenza RE050A RFT).......... not a Michelin.

To save money (and hassle) I'd probably go with a very good Ultra-High-Performance All-Season tire. I don't like the Pilot Sport A/S+, so I'd go Bridgestone Potenza RE970AS Pole Position.

40K guarantee. Highly rated. Figure it'll be good.

RE: ATS 2.0T vs Regal 2.0T
As much as I love the Regal.. specifically the GS... even in that form.. the GS... the ATS in 2.0L Form would easily get my money. The 3.6L would certainly be my choice tho... and the upcoming V would kill all comers.

Point is.. and I've said it over and over again... CADILLAC BUYERS.. at least REAL ones.. not magazine readers and forum posters.. are not going to consider a Buick over a Cadillac. It just isn't happening in any number worth speaking of, unless a current Cadillac owner was looking to downgrade due to a life change..

The ATS looks to be more refined... more luxo.. more performance oriented.. and simply more prestigious than anything short of C-Class or 3series.

I voted Regal. I understand the ATS is better in most regards, but I just have a soft spot for the Regal and love the way it looks inside and out.

To add further fuel to the fire, the maximum GM points you can use for the Regal is $1,500. You can go right up to the maximum of $3,500 for the ATS.

The Caddy is looking better and better!beer

22 to 4 for the Caddy so far. I'll have to see if I can arrange a test drive at my local Cadillac dealer in the next few months. If I get one, no doubt I'll have to custom order it as I did with the Grand Prix, so who knows, I may be signing up in the spring...yeeees

Just under $45K nets you the essentials: 2.0T, manual, premium, cold weather pack (for a warm bum).

Also Ive changed my decision to Continental ExtremeContact DWS, trade off some handling sharpness for near-winter-tire snow traction.

These would be 'all season' tires? I still say you want to go with steel if you have to contend with road salt, so a separate set of rims is essential.

RE: ATS 2.0T vs Regal 2.0T
Canadian 'build and price' info is finally up. Looks like you can't get HUD if you opt for the manual, which is bizarre, but it's not so critical to me that I wouldn't get the car.

I'll be shopping seriously once the spring comes back around, but if I manage to get in a test drive, I'll post my thoughts.

A 2.0T manual is well within my budget.beer

Knowing you you'll have one as a test car laugh

In other news, the upcoming SS will have a variant with an LSA V8.
