Longer and wider than the current CTS, the new model is expected to be offered with GM’s new turbocharged 270bhp 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine. Expect Cadillac to also offer a 200bhp 2.5-ltre four-pot and a range-topping 318bhp 3.6-litre V6.

The 2.5L will not be offered in the CTS for the same reason they won't offer the 1.4T in the Tahoe.

2.0T standard ~270HP, 3.6L with ~320HP, 3.6TT with ~400HP. I don't know about the V.

I read somewhere that a 3.0TT was also in the works for the CTS?

something tells me, when you sit inside the new ATS and CTS, side by side, they will feel very close.

Bit too close, if you ask me.

That is, only if you ask me.
Even then, I may not tell you a thing.laugh

What sense does it make to have both turbos? Unless they want to replace the LFX with a torquier more.

I don't think that there is anything wrong with Caddy adopting a similar interior look.

It appears toyota is doing that with the gs/es and I would be the next lame ls.

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here? Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

I just hope the 8 speed is rolled out with it.

The CTS has nowhere to go but down, so it's important for Caddy to maintain excellence since the previous car has already achieved it.

I think they're up to it. badass

Same with Audi. And BMW. Most of the time, Mercedes as well. Carries a very family designated design, with key differences setting models apart from one another. At least Cadillac gets its, can't speak for everyone though.

Also, this report was false. Testing mules haven't even seen the N/A DI V6. Every mule found had the TT V6. Judging by size, though, I think Doc may be wrong, looks a lot more like a 3.0.

How does it look like a 3.0L? The 3.0L and 3.6L blocks are nearly identical.

3.6 DI

3.0 DI

(Update: frak it, will never show up, but we'll see who's right in a few months, even with all evidence pointing towards a 3.0. Same shit with the Impala being RWD).

If they put the 2.5 in it it will hopefully only be for fleet use. Also why all the complaining about 318 hp V6 not being enough?? Heck 15 years ago that would be close to Corvette numbers I believe.

The best there was and the best there ever will be.
