OK, so here's the deal!

I am going to put up a car that never got past the concept stage(s).

However, I am actually putting this up because I remember from way back that it was designed to be produced but never made it quite that far.

It was close enough to production that it was actually tested by a car magazine (even though it was fitted not with the twin turbo 6 it was supposed to have but a run of the mill V6 from a lowly stablemate), and came through pretty well as it was.

This one shouldn't be too hard for the car guys that are of my vintage.... maybe.

I remember this one. And I remember liking it a lot. Even the high tech steering wheel.

I'll let someone else guess this one. It had such nice clean styling. Very Italian in design flair, though I don't remember if the design was by Italian design house or done in-house.

I remember this car so well. Did you notice the styling touch by the vents on the back hatch area? You just know it was the Reagan era there!

Honestly all I could remember from the mag is was it's a Ford. I had to Google the rest.

It was an ItalDesign for Ford. Back when straight edges were leading edge.


I still have a taste for Italian design.

I just remember (and yes, I was a Ford nut then to in '84, probably even worse than now!!!!!!!) was how much I wanted Ford to produce this car.

I even remember noticing the American Flag in front of the vents aft and thinking how cool that was! Haha
