I wasn't "bragging" about the gs in the least.

the lexus brand has a history of over hyping and under delivering. The gs is just the latest example and the next is will be pretty much the same. Label whores like you will gush with excitement but those of us that can be level headed will yawn.

You are dodging my question. I would also like specific examples of your claim that "the lexus brand has a history of over hyping and under delivering." And I know you will bring up the HS250. If they have a "history of over hyping" I need to hear examples of more than one.

For once, make a logical argument please.

I already gave you two: gs and hs250h! How about the current ls which never once outsold the s-class or 7 series even though it cost thousands less. Or while we are on the current ls, remember how toyota told us all the ls600h was going to redefine the luxury hybrid segment and yet they couldn't sell more than a couple hundred a year. Or how about the lexus auto parking system that doesn't really work(hell my $30k Ford Escape's system is better than the one sold in a lexus!).

Prove to me how the new GS has been over-hyped and under-delivering. I've only heard glowing reviews and seen sales figures that make it relevant in its class. It is currently the 3rd highest-selling vehicle in its segment YTD. The LS has held up very well against the 7er and S-class since its debut. There are several months every year where it tops both. The LS600h has been a special-order vehicle and is not found in dealer inventory. It makes sense that such a niche hybrid will sell in low numbers. 7-series ActiveHybrid and S400 hybrid sales also make up a minuscule portion of sales compared to their gasoline-powered variants. What the LS600h has done is spur its competitors to develop hybrid flagships of their own. S400, 7 ActiveHybrid, and A8 Hybrid have all followed suit.

Lexus is once again one of the top-selling luxury brands in the United States. You pull any excuse out of the air to disprove their success. You aren't doing a good job at all.

Now tell me again, which models aside from the HS250 have shown that Lexus has historically over-hyped and under-delivers with their products? Your argument with the GS went kaput.

The GS is very nice. The main downsides are the stupid mouse-controller thing for the nav and the kinda wonky steering. Seats are just too comfortable.

Hopefully the IS builds on it. It'll probably beat the 3-Series, probably not the ATS though.

That statement is almost as bone-headed as everything jayturd says. Talk about an assumption. roll eyes

OMG little virgin penis you know nothing!

Please show proof that the ls outsells both the 7 series and the S-class! More BS from your lame ass brain! There is no point because I've just schooled you in another thread already showing that you know nothing about sales data when you said that the hs250h was the top selling lexus hybrid.

Furthermore, Benz is the top selling luxury made in the US YTD and they are followed by BMW! Don't let the frakking facts get in the way. Nothing you post on this site is true!

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here? Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

Why? Just because I don't agree with your boner for the 3-Series?

Look, currently, the 3-Series is the best car in the segment, because it has combined everything you need from a proper sport sedan into one package and does it well. The ATS does that, but it drives like an E46 (its dynamic benchmark since the program started). The only thing the 3 excels in is interior and trunk volume.

And no matter how much you don't like me and Jaybird saying this, the 3 feels cheap on the inside compared to the ATS. You can talk all you want about how the cupholders are made of plastic, or how the fits weren't perfect on a pre-production car, but at the end of the day, leather stitched dash always beats plastic dash. The ATS felt more inviting by a large margin.

RE: Lexus says its next IS250 will be ''revolutionary"
You both are making subjective claims.

I expect the next IS to look like a smaller GS which isn't a bad thing but I don't see that huge screen in the dash making its way to the smaller IS. The layout will likely be similar but it will be interesting to see how they place the little interface knob with respect to a manual shifter, IF they offer a manual at all.

I love pussy, I love biatches, dude I should be runnin' PETA.

You don't believe me? Go back every month since all 3 latest models have been in production and you'll see quite a few where the LS sold more than the BMW and Mercedes. The LS has put up months of 1200 units many times. Both the 7-series and S-class also fluctuate by several hundred units month-to-month.

And what does Benz topping BMW in the U.S. so far this year have to do with anything? Work on your reading comprehension for a change. I said that "Lexus is once again one of the top-selling luxury brands in the United States," not "the top selling." Lexus will likely finish in 3rd.

We have not even seen a real review of the ATS from a reputable magazine yet and you are claiming that the ATS will defeat both the IS and the 3-series. You think the 3-series will place 3rd in this segment? Are you a registered dumbass? Wait until more conclusive reviews of the ATS are released before making BS statements like that.
