A BMW insider speculated that the collaboration could provide the basis for the return of the Toyota Supra, possibly using the BMW 6-series architecture. The Supra, once the performance spearhead of the Toyota lineup, was last produced in 2002.

"Anything is possible," the senior BMW manager told Autoweek, a sibling publication of Automotive News Europe. "The key factor is that the products of both companies retain their own individual character, despite jointly developed technologies."

I called it! BMW platform with Toyota mechanicals. This is going to be expensive and a let down. You can quote me on this, if I am wrong, I will shout it from the roof tops.

I love pussy, I love bitches, dude I should be runnin' PETA.

This is what i see happening.... Toyota uses the 6 series platform like the article says, which will make the car be too expensive for the average buyer, probably close to 50k, and second they will ruin the Supra name by using a stupid hybrid assist and then it get its ass kicked by the other 50k coupes, the ZLI will ass rape it without lube, and the GT500 will ass rape it in any race and hell probably the track with its massive power. Also by then the 45k Challenger SRT8 will probably have its S/C they have been planning on and already having the 2 mode suspension and will demolish it as well. Im setting myself up to be unimpressed so come on toyota at least impress me a little bit.

This country can’t be knocked out with one punch. We get right back up again and when we do the world is going to hear the roar of our engines. Yeah, it’s halftime America. And, our second half is about to begin.
