2013 Chevrolet Sonic RS First Drive

While it didn't take the top prize, the Sonic proved how far the Bow Tie brand has come with its small car offerings. The subcompact impressed us with its strong turbocharged engine, high-quality interior, and smooth ride. The "performance-inspired" 2013 Chevrolet Sonic RS will soon join the lineup in hatchback form only. We recently headed to GM's Milford Proving Grounds to find out exactly how much performance that RS badge gives the Sonic. DAMN! Now I'm going to go and have to buy ANOTHER new car because:
1) I love my Sonic 2) The RS answers the few complaints I have with my car which are: Due to the super tall gearing it does take away from the fun factor a bit and I want MyLink! I can't wait to see this little car in the flesh.... I'll take an Inferno Orange Sonic RS 6-speed manual purty please!

Looks good - the mesh on the steering wheel looks cool.
The only thing I find odd about this car is that there's no plastic cover over the headlights. I'm sure they'd be very expensive to replace if a stone takes them out. Hopefully they're very strong and can take a hit without breaking.

Its definitely geared towards FE for sure, I'm almost positive it's the same as in the Cruze Eco. I'm thinking a Sonic RS with the trifecta tune will be very sweeeeeet!

My only gripe with the sonic rs is the ugly ass fog lights.
