Long day or not, you can't mix up Lifters with Rockers if you're going to build a motor. Things won't end well.

Wafflecone Wednesday?

Mopes,
what all parts from a LS1/LS6 will work with the 5.3? Because they basically the exact same motor other then block material and bore.

This country can’t be knocked out with one punch. We get right back up again and when we do the world is going to hear the roar of our engines. Yeah, it’s halftime America. And, our second half is about to begin.

RE: Project LS-S10: Waffle cone Wednesday and a new engine opportunity
Thanks SRT. I'm damn excited about it. My goal is to have it AT LEAST running by the end of August. Seems impossible, but I think it can be done badass
My not have it built how I won't by then, but it will be cammed and have different internals. Other things like injectors can be done later.

Yo.. hold the fuck up.. y'all motherfuckers still have a tcby?

“The build sheet is the wish list of any racer: lightweight high-revving dry-sump LS7 engine; carbon-ceramic brakes; integrated coolers; true aerodynamic downforce, and a significant reduction in curb weight. This car could only come from Chevrolet, and could only be called the Z/28.”

Well if you are trying to build an LS1/LS6... im sure all the parts will work, because they are the same block basically. I did find out today that the LS1 crank is actually lighter than the 5.3L crank.... everything else is the same, its just got lightening holes in between the journals.

Oh and speaking of LS1s and LS3s... I actually built a couple LS1s and a couple LS3 based 427s todaybadass

So I was told that the only major difference for sure is the bore. Which,I already knew that. So nothing new.

The 5.3 heads actually flow just as good. Just smaller combustion chambers. The intakes will interchange too with the slightest of alterations.(Tapping a 1/8th in hole into a piece on the LS1/LS6 intakes to make them fit the 5.3)
