Yes, it’s a lot of work and a lot of payments – or you can just wait for the McLaren MP4-12C.

Yes.coffee

I heard the MP4-12C drives like shit.

RE: Lexus LFA almost sold out
I suppose if I was stinking rich and had jet airplanes, houses, every vintage car and motorcycle of my dreams, and had every current supercar, muscle car, motorcycle of my dreams, I would be so friggin' bored out of my skull that I would probably purchase an LFA just for shits and grins. I would need a daily driver for my trips to the 7-11 for twinkies and soda's.
Just curious, is Toyota dropping production of the LFA because no one wants them?idk

I don't get why the 500 limit. Seems like a waste of time.

If I were to take a guess, after 10 years of development I believe Toyota figured they better release something. Knowing that they were going to lose a bunch of money on each one would lead one to conclude that they knew they had to limit production, though.

It would seem it is a fairly impressive car. However, 'fairly' impressive after 10 years is as close to 'damning with faint praise' as you can get.

Why did they only make a few hundred enzos? Why did they only make a few reventon? why did they only make a few of so many exotics.

It's too expensive to mass produce and those cars are designed to showcase engineering and technology. Pretty much research for future cars. You can already see a lot of enzo technology that was applied in the 458 italia or the lfa in the FR-S.

Just think of it as their research projects. You don't get money back initially but in the long run you do.

Maybe the energy and investment spent on the LFA could have been used to reinvent Toyota? Toyota needs a makeover much more than a limited to 500 units LFA supercar.idk

facepalm

The LFA was part of the investment to bring back fun to the toyota/lexus boring image. Now you see kids going, "dude lexus is so cool with the LFa and all..." rofl

They showed the public that they can in fact build a super car.

Then they rolled out a more fun GS with many LFA cues and tech and now the FR-S to infuse affordable fun into the brand also using a lot of the tech from the LFA.

It takes time to turn public perception around.

Imo, they are doing a good job. STill needs a shit ton of work. Even with all this work, people still think toyota is boring (which they still are) so it will take time.
