Ford’s next RS model could be a Fiesta rather than a Focus. Ford has all but decided there will be new RS model, since former SVT head Jost Capito defected to Volkswagen (where he is heading development of the Polo R) the firm is less certain about which direction the new car will take.

There’s a strong argument that, because the Fiesta is now a global car and is Ford’s motorsport flag-bearer (where, in its world rallying guise it’s even called Fiesta RS WRC), it’s the natural performance flagship and would suit the character of an RS. However, the sales success of the last Focus RS will be hard to overlook.

I prefer the 3 door.
Much easier to get in/out of due to much larger door. Makes more sense in this class. Not like you are going to commute much with a 4 door filled with big adults.

It'd be nice to get the Fiesta 3 door in the US in general.
The US rally guys that run for Ford get the 3 door. Why can't we? rofl

New ST is no slouch, and you really don't need much more power, although more will be available.

Sure but it looks no where near as good as this. 300 hp in this day in age, for any performance car, is about just right and the ST doesn't have the goodies the rs has.

Though i much rather prefer this...
