Just about every form of motorsport racing gives back some technology to the industry. Nascar on the other hand, takes things from the industry and implements them into their series. Most people see this as Nascar being backwards and stupid. No no no, see, they are just super intelligent. Why do the work when you can have other do it for you and then take it from them! Its less work on Nascar's part so they can spend more time drinking horrible beers and beating their wives who also happen to be their sisters and or grandmothers.

I love pussy, I love biatches, dude I should be runnin' PETA.

RE: Rick Hendrick: “I’ve driven (The Chevrolet SS) it’s a heck of a car”
The biggest thing about Zeta is how well sorted the rear end is. I would never have thought you could lay down so much power with no axle hop, barely any tire squeal - just squats down and goes. Other cars (Dodge Challenger, previous CTS V) had big problems in this department that they had to work hard to sort out. Yes it's heavy, I get it (though not all that heavy relative to its competitors) but its refinement and balance are phenomenal.

It's pathetic really.. just because DOC thinks that he can't afford a Chevy SS.. he's hating on it. This is one seriously sad muthafucka if U ask me.. and U did.. U just didn't realize U did. I'm betting that the SS comes in about $2000 within what the Pontiac G8 GT was at intro. Performance fans who want an alternative to the Charger and SHO will actually get a GM alternative that in previous form.. WRECKED THEM BOTH. I am also gonna say that the LS3 will get a slight bump in power for this car exclusively as the other GM V8s vehicles move to GenV. 450+HP in the SS.. and a even more powerful Supercharged "ZL1" model coming in at about $50K sporting 580HP. BOTH will lay down a Charger SRT8 on it's stomach and commence in beginning an "ATM" scenariobadass

Cadillac UNLIKE BMW.. provides RELIABILITY with their ULTIMATE DRIVING MACHINES... unlike Lexus.. provides ULTIMATE DRIVING MACHINES with their RELIABILITY.

The fuckin 2009 GXP with 415HP damn near ran with a current SRT8 in the 1/4 and sprint. Why wouldn't a more powerful, lighter vehicle do it better?

2009 G8 GXP
http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/seda...ewall.html

0-60 mph 4.5 sec
Quarter mile 13.0 sec @ 109.6 mph
Braking, 60-0 mph 117 ft
Lateral acceleration 0.90 g (avg)
MT Figure Eight 26.4 sec @ 0.70 g (avg)

2012 Charger SRT8
http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/seda...srt8_test/

0-60 MPH 4.3 sec
QUARTER MILE 12.8 sec @ 115.5 mph
BRAKING, 60-0 MPH 112 ft
LATERAL ACCELERATION 0.89 g (avg)
MT FIGURE EIGHT 25.8 sec @ 0.72 g (avg)

Yes, the numbers are close, but by the time the Chevy SS gets here, the current SRT8 will have an update including the addition of the 8spd trans, SRT8's numbers will get better... Like The Merc said, it should be a good fight, and I for one cant wait for the showdownrockon

I proved my point. The SRT gets and update while the "GXP" gets REPLACED. We'll see. Those numbers are so close it's a drivers race, even with a 55HP deficit badass

I couldn't give a shit what Rick Henrick says. He is a paid mouthpiece for GM and he is going to spew possitive comments about the car.
Now, lets say Toyota sponser's Rick Hendrick next racing season, what do you think he will say about the Camry? I'll bet it goes something like this, " It's a hell of a car with a nice interior."

Plymouth 'Cuda The quintessential musclecar.

You are right, but its safe to say that the SRT8 will break into the mid 12s easily, and the "GXP" will drop into the 12s... where in the 12s is the question, I cant wait!
