No doubt. Although the sedan version of the Focus is by no means poorly styled.

Well I don't know if I agree with that. The thing about the Fiesta and Focus is they both look good in hatch versions, but I find the Sedans look like an afterthought.

It might just be my preference for Hatchbacks, though. I feel the same way about the Sonic.

Well I don't know if I agree with that. The thing about the Fiesta and Focus is they both look good in hatch versions, but I find the Sedans look like an afterthought.

If you in general have a preference for Hatches, that wouldn't surprise me.

I don't like the sedan version of the Fiesta at all. The Focus for me in sedan guise looks pretty good.

I agree, the Focus isn't bad looking in sedan form. But I find the Hatch to look way better. It would be my choice.

^^ It comes down to the rear end styling of the car, which from a designers point of view has to be the most difficult part of the car to do. The Focus sedan rear looks 'angry bug' to me, and the Cruze looks too abrupt. The best sedan look so far has to be the Dodge Dart IMO.

I saw a white Focus hatch today, it looked loaded, had the nice 5-spoke wheels, very good looking car. I too prefer the hatch over the sedan when it comes to looks but the Focus sedan isn't bad looking by any means.

Agreed. I do think the fiesta looks oogley in sedan form though but being that small, its pretty hard have a good design. Just look at the versa, sonic, and eww ew eww yaris.

May sound bias but i still think the Sentra looks the best as far as compact sedans go for how old it is. Interior sucks ass though.

I have changed gears a bit on my preference for hatch, as I have been seeing a lot of sedans lately that I love.

I actually really like it with the spoiler on the back. Gives it a more finished and sporty look.

Definitely looks better in black, but then again, just about all cars do. It's a very sleek design, but that takes a toll on headroom. Cruze and Sentra are more boxy and tall which provides a ton of headroom in both.

Cruze seat height is 1" more
Focus hip room is about 1" more


A wash. I am just under 6', and plenty of room all around. I suspect if you are a real big person, 1" means squat in either direction, and you should prob look for bigger.
