Thanks a lot Obama. This is actually DIRECTLY your fault.

Directly??? I'm fuckin DYING to kno what the frak U meant by that
wtf

Obamacare.

My dad is (read: was) a Chiropractor. Right now the government is screwing him out of every dollar they possibly can. Of the $85 he would ask from Medicare, only $23 would actually be given to him, and his patients can't pay the rest. The larger insurance companies actually pay out his asking price, surprisingly. But a solid 60% of his business are patients with Medicare. And when you're taking in 1/3rd of what you need, you can't actually make a living off of that. And ever since Obamacare was passed, it will only get worse, as payouts will be smaller and for even more patients.

Medicare was bad enough, Obama's health care law put the nail in the coffin for my dad's small business.

Now that I'm 18, I can vote. And voting for Obama will never happen, as he put my father, who currently still PROVIDES FOR ME, out of the job. This is not the change I wanted, a-hole.

1) Sorry to hear that your dad is outta work:sad:

2) I don't think U are getting the WHOLE storysmoker

3) U guys may need to just MOVE.. perhaps your dad's clientele is just to "Gov't Needy."

4) My chiropractor just bought a $500,000 week-end home in Ocean City not to from from one of mine. His clientele is a good mix of Gov't Needy and spoiled middle to upper income people who have too much time an money on their hands. I go to him because he has sexy ass college co-ed assistants that do most of my back rubs.badass

5) My chiropractor made adjustments to accommodate the changes... he saw them coming 4 years ago.:yeeees:

6) Seems that the President has nothing to do with your dad's misfortune... like BP and his "GM is to blame for his dad getting Fired from a position AT GM" U may be blaming the wrong person in this dilemma. A Chiropractor going from being a Chiropractor to an insurance adjuster shows a lack of .. (excuse the pun.. us being Car guys:ifyousaysosmile DRIVE.:TIMEOUT:

RE: 2013 Cadillac ATS priced from $33,990
There was too much competition in my part of town. Really if there was a good spot for a chiropractor, it was taken in my area. Plus, almost all of the chiropractors in my area are crooks and thieves, who overprice their services and try to sell you on stuff that you don't need. An X-ray isn't always needed, a good chiropractor can tell what kind of shape your back or neck is in without one most of the time. Yet the local chiropractor here REQUIRES you to pay for an X-ray before you have an adjustment.

It was either become a crook or be unemployed. And my dad could never live with himself if he started to take advantage of people like that.

And he said that when Obama brought up and signed the Healthcare Bill, that he was essentially SOL. He tried to make it through and he tried to trim the fat off of the business (this is actually the biggest reason why we sold the Escort), but there is no end in sight for the hardships he would have had to face if he kept the business running. I’m glad he was able to man up and shut down his doors instead of going into a massive debt and being in an entirely new and unforgiving mess.

Also, thank you for your sympathy.

And to be back on topic, I think $34k was the perfect price for this car. Watch out 3-Series. badass

Well, Thed I know what you're going through. My dad's an architect, and when the housing market collapsed, guess what else went away? Construction. He's been through about 3 temp jobs working for other firms, but he finally found a stable job doing drawings for a local boat company.

I'm also unemployed right now because our shop couldn't sustain itself after a majority of our clientele (Nasa Employees) left the town, or have simply become unemployed, themselves.

Right now it's tough, and I know of people who have simply given up on looking for a job or were forced to retire because it's too difficult to find one if you have a specialty.

I hope he finds something.

No offense.. but what I enlarged above seems like.. and U even kinda admit it yourself.. like the REAL reason why your dad is being put outta business. That is a LOCALIZED thing... that find hard to put on the President. In fact.. the only way, BASED ON THE INFO U PROVIDED, that the President is responsible for your dad's plight is if he signed a law saying it was "no taxation on Chiropractors in your area for 10 years" and suddenly a bunch sprung up. Seems to me the people U would blame is the other chiropractors.. or more to the point... himself for not re-inventing the business to RUN THE OTHER GUYS outta business.

Should of been priced a few grand less than the established competition.

I can't wait to see how it stacks up against the competition.

Im rooting for this car, I hope it kicks ass. So Cadillac can finally have a competitive car, that is not a "V"

Seems to me that the SRX, CTS, and Escalade are competing damn well.. V or Platinum withstanding.

Does it even matter??? Anyone going into a Cadillac dealership... NO.. make that Caddy, Bimmer, Benzo, Audi, or Jag dealership.. and EVEN LOOKING... at a base model.. needs to have their asses carted the frak out of the showroom Lickity SPLIT.

The only question I have... is will it match what other makers are doing in the segment to be competitive? Any buyer who goes in the showroom and isn't informed immediately.. if they ask... that the 3series they are shopping against the ATS comes with Leatherette as well.. (if this is the case for the ATS) deserves to have that salesman miss the board.

Value Casa, value. Why else is the 2.5L even being offered?

I already know which ATS I want. 2.0T with the Y42 and Y44 packages. (LINKETY LINK TO THE OPTION PACKAGES)

VALUE is inherit and obvious with the INCLUSION of the 2.5L.

GM needs to continue to sell trucks... in order to sell trucks.. GM needs to have a CAFE'er friendly volume vehicle. The 2.5L is for the 80% of the people out there who want a CADILLAC name on their car.. nice handling.. nice packaging... probably like their BMW counterparts.. don't have a clue which wheels are being driven.. BUT.. could care less about 0-60 sprints from stop light to stop light. AGAIN... I bet U won't see many of these ATSs... 2.0L, 3.6L, or even V.. at the track. The same goes for brand new 328s, 335, or M3s.

OH.. and the 2.5L is being offered because Cadillac is going global... BMW offers the 320i in there home country... why should the American Caddy intend-er be left out if they don't want the Turbo.

GAAAAWD!!!roll eyes I wish U would take a marketing class... or get a reality check. EVERY FUCKIN BUYER OUT THERE IS NOT LOOKING FOR A RWD, BIG POWER car. Look at U... again U could have gotten a G8 GT... yet U bought an Equinox. It never gets old.. and my niece with the V6 G8.. and Aunt with the 415HP GXP.. still laugh at U everytime I mention U. and they have PUSSIES 4GODSAKE!!!lmao

Ummmm, thats not accurate Casa, as Doc here isnt actually a doctor... and he didnt actually buy an Equinox.... his parents did, he might have tried convincing them to buy a G8... but he really had no choice in the matter... thats just what he told us lmao

The CTS has been midpack at best since its intro in 08. The Escalade is ancient, outclassed by everything in the segment ( minus the Navy). The SRX I'll give you that, one of the best in that segment... But not the best.

IMO the pricing is a bit ambitious. The 2.0 Turbo should be standard.

Like I said before, I hope this car does well in sales and performance.

So I know ask you, Redsky, to please go frak yourself with biggest, oldest telephone pole that your town has to offer. Go ahead, jump right on you degenerate frak.

It was kind of hard to run the other guys out of business when you are in a whole different county.

Even I've seen the numbers. I know what that business cost him and what he was actually taking in. He was getting ripped off by the government. Believe it or not, Chiropractors are almost an outcast of the medical industry, they make a very small peep compared to the yelling that the plastic surgeons and the anesthesiologists driving Bentleys and Ferraris do. Also, chiropractors are going to be the next thing cut from Medicare's payouts. Since most people can't afford a chiropractor if they're on Medicare, they are just going to stop coming all together.

I will not ever forget when he said this, "When Obama signed the law, I was screwed. Everything would be different if he never pushed that bill through." I remember the day the White House released the info of the bill to the press. He was furious. Literally, the dog was cowering in the corner. He new that things were only going to get worse than they already were. He tried to trim the fat as much as he could and his advertising budget was slim to none.

I hope your chiropractor does well, it's really an over-looked profession. Most people that hate on it have never been to one. Everyone should see one at least one point in their life. Adjustments feel fantastic after a hard day of work or just with general soreness. I hope he plans for Medicare to cut him off of their payment list, because chiropractors are next up on the cut lists.
