There is this thing called power to weight ratio. The Mustang is 1000 lbs heavier than the BRZ with only roughly 100 more HP.

It was life and death on the track. Against a non-turbocharged Subaru that's really a Toyota. Epic fail.

I'll be the first to admit that there are some things the F-Series does better than the Silverado. And by that I mean "donate it's back axle to the company's sporty car."

Mustang won on the track. That is a fact.

Voice of Shame is mad cuz the Slomaro V6 isn't even a consideration when any spirited driving is concerned.

Dood, watch the video. The Mustang was shown to be a paper tiger.

LOL@Track Pack Mustang beating 151lb/ft of torque on track by a whole second :OHYEAH!:

No wonder Angus hated V6 Mustangs. They're terrible.

Meh............the V6 Mustang is still carrying around more than 1000 extra pounds. I know you choose to ignore that fact but you have to cling to something.

It's funny that Mr McLips is complaining about the added weight of the Po'tang but when it's the lighter of the two it's irrelevant

For the sake of argument we'll say the Mustang has 3500 pounds and the Subaru 2500. Therefore the Mustang weighs 40% more. If the Mustang has less than 40% more power then you MIGHT have an argument. The envelope please... uh-oh, the Mustang has 55% more power! So it has better power-to-weight.

Gee, with friends like you does the Mustang NEED enemies like me? :OHYEAH!:

You guys do realize that weight hampers performance on the track in a huge way, right?

The Mustang has better power-to-weight and a supposedly track-focused suspension setup, to say nothing of some super-sticky Pirellis that I can vouch for personally (Ford got the idea for using them from the Camaro). So it really has no excuse here.

But the BRZ weighs around 1000 pounds less. You take any other two cars that are similar in weight and power to the BRZ and Mustang, and the results will more than likely be the same.

Camaro V6 and Miata

335 and RX8

You get my drift.
