Redline camaro ZL1.. 10.32 @ 134.7 MPH

rockon

I still would like to see what it can do with a pair of RACING SLICKS

“The build sheet is the wish list of any racer: lightweight high-revving dry-sump LS7 engine; carbon-ceramic brakes; integrated coolers; true aerodynamic downforce, and a significant reduction in curb weight. This car could only come from Chevrolet, and could only be called the Z/28.”

"The blistering 10.32 run was made with a full weight ZL1, using its stock 1.9 liter blower, stock heads, catalytic converters with a density altitude of well over 1000 feet. The ZL1′s mods include a Redline Motorsports proprietary camshaft, upper and lower pulleys, headers, improved heat exchanger, cold air intake, performance torque converter and Mickey Thompson drag radials. This bad ZL1 makes well over 750 horsepower and 700 ft-lbs of torque."

Quite a few mods to get to there.

Hell my '03 ZX6RR Kawasaki will run 10.71 in the quarter at 129 Mph. Get my fat ass of the seat and it will likely be a half second quicker!beer

As for the Camaro, that is smokin'!:2thumbsup:

Meh.........NO GT500 of any year has had to crack open the engine to hit 10's.

GM Humpers were adamant that this car was not designed for the strip but that tune is changing now. They will be back to quoting "Ring" times when the 2013 GT500 shows it how to go down the 1320.

Hit 10's? Hell this thing is about to hit 9's! It wasnt designed to be a strip queen. Any 4th gen would work in a pinch. For less money.

And of course you wouldnt need to "crack open" the engine to change cams on a dohc motor lmao

But the fact that it can boogie down the strip with ease and without /////RacingSlicks is pretty awesome for those who want a drag strip queen.

Whats funny is that if you slap the good years back on, this thing will still go round the track rockon

Without spending money on a "track pack" rockon

Best of both worlds

Difference is the GT500 will be doing it on Pump Gas.
