This car could only come from Chevrolet, and could only be called the Z/28.” |

RE: Throttle Body Question
The use was excellent. If I wanted 600hp I wouldn't use the Renesis, I'd use the FD motor or the 2.0L 3-Rotor out of the Cosmo. Thats about $30K worth of work.

RE: Throttle Body Question
Rotary work is not cheap man. Its a lot of precise work and 90% is all custom work. Its not like a stroker kit for a JZ or the 4.6L Mustang V8. It needs to be rebuilt from the inside out and cryo treated and everything. Its insane.

Thats why Id shove an LS3 in there and call it a day “The build sheet is the wish list of any racer: lightweight high-revving dry-sump LS7 engine; carbon-ceramic brakes; integrated coolers; true aerodynamic downforce, and a significant reduction in curb weight. RE: Throttle Body Question
Cryo treatment?
I know they have been doing that to brakes for eons. Do they do that from the factory on the motors or is that just something done for all the stress seen from forced induction? ![]() |

Besides, having an LS motor in a Mazda is sacrilege. ![]() |

RE: Throttle Body Question
Ha a few guys on RX8 club droped in the 2006 GTO motor in the RX8. It was a damn tight fit but the cars are insanely fast! The weight kills its balance but they are some crazy drag cars.
Cryo treament for the heat the motor will be taking. Also guys use RX-8 rotors and machine them to fit inside the older motors because they are lighter and are a higher compression. Once cryo treated they can take some insane boost pressure. I love pussy, I love biatches, dude I should be runnin' PETA. I am a follower of the Kobe System.

RE: Throttle Body Question
That's cool! See, I know so little about rotaries. I would like to take one apart and tinker with it. That's how I learned conventional motors.
