The 2002-06 models were junk

Actually, Spook, even I would disagree with that statement. I know plenty of people who still drive one with reasonably high mileage. When properly maintained they last just fine.
There was a minor rust issue with my friends 02 Sable thanks to NJ's liberal use of salt products, other than that standard upkeep has been limited to a replaced alternater just last week and some rotted brake lines, which isnt too bad when your car has over 140K miles on it. ![[Image: 14vetteSm_zpsbcd394eb.png]](http://i739.photobucket.com/albums/xx36/alux23/New%20Pics/14vetteSm_zpsbcd394eb.png)

So out of a gazillion made, they are INVESTIGATING a few hundred K.
