Wel you my friend are in an interesting predicament. I for one would run away from the Cobalt. The Neon is a good option but I would also look at maybe something on the lines of a Diesel VDub or even an old Volvo maybe even a Miata if you can find one cheap.

I like those Celicas, probably the last good looking car Toyota ever made. I say they want too much for it though, 140K miles, 4cylinder FWD, for $6,400? Me personally, I wouldn't go for it.
