Now that would be a hell of a thing. It makes me wonder tho... with Gen V right around the corner... why didn't GM up the HP on the LSA and LS9 all around? Bump 'em both by 20HP

Corporate foolery. I'm sure they have the mindset that "that product is done" no need to throw money at it.

“The build sheet is the wish list of any racer: lightweight high-revving dry-sump LS7 engine; carbon-ceramic brakes; integrated coolers; true aerodynamic downforce, and a significant reduction in curb weight. This car could only come from Chevrolet, and could only be called the Z/28.”

I agree... the OLD GM would have let the issue be taken care of at the dealership... losing money paying them and possibly having the fix done wrong... I'm glad they are taking care of it before the cars even get shipped.

Old GM would have said "Eh,good enough for who it's for" and let them roll off the line

Sorry to rain on your parades, boys.... but atleast ONE ZL1 DID make it to a customer... and the dealer had to ask the customer to bring it back dealership... Update to the story..

Sorry for what??? One slipped thru.. ONE. Who cares since they did the right thing and recalled it home. I'm sure they are coddling the buyer with nice apologies and all sort of goodies
