The part about Canada is curious. I have associates in Toronto/Ontario who still are waiting for their Chevy Volt orders to be filled. The US/Canada specifications are the same.. why the fuck doesn't GM just send additional inventory to Canada?


Oh.. and I agree with GP8.. how the fuck is gas cheap? $67 in a Camaro??? If I were buying again... I'd certainly be in a Volt, but preferably a ELR.


And that brings up another thing. SWITCH THAT production over to the Cadillac ELR. Sometimes I think GM is literally doing some of this on purpose. The $39,995 price is no longer a real necessity. I kno for a fact that GM included the Volt development cost in the BK.

What is this 'cheap gas' of which you speak? We're pushing damn near $50 to fill up the Astra! (Hmm, there's a joke in there, somewhere)...

I filled up GP today and am getting close to the demoralizing $80 mark for a fill up with premium.

I'll put it to you this way: gas isn't so expensive that you've given up the Astra... in Edmonton it's currently a buck-nine a liter, guessing Ontario's a fair bit more, but still...

Yup. $1.30 yesterday. They're predicting $1.50 by summer. Some refinery shut downs or some such....blah, blah, blah, just hand over your wallet.

I see where Casa's Camaro tops up at 67 American dollars, add about 10 bucks for mine... but I STILL say that compared to places like Germany we're laughing as far as gas goes. I'll put it to you like this: I went to the Edmonton Car Show this weekend and I was spending a lot more time trying to figure out whether to replace the SS with a ZL1 or an off-lease Z06.

It was more like a prediction. This thread seems to indicate that it came true. That's why bother. Sorry if the reality of it sucks.

Speaking of reality sucks, What happened to all the GM insiders and experts (you know, the CF posters) that swore production was the problem.
