This is the first rendering of the SLP GNX. This Regal-based sport sedan is looking to be the GS Buick should've built. SLP says that this one should crank out "more than" 300 horsepower (up from 270 on the GS) and, if this rendering is to be believed, will actually look special.

+1

But based on SLP's work in the past, they don't make substantial changes like that.

I'm pretty surprised they don't go with GSX like they did on the last Regal...

Hmmmm... this could be problematic. If SLP brings over some of the insane AWD Vauxhalls, strips them of their Euro trim, and redoes them as Buicks (with a bigger turbo of course!) then this could be pretty good. Anything else is a disgrace to the memory of the first GNX... unless they plan on basing it off the Camaro, which would probably be even more costly, and judging by the sketch provided, unlikely.

I'll be the first to admit that there are some things the F-Series does better than the Silverado. And by that I mean "donate it's back axle to the company's sporty car."

Hmmm. If they do it, I'm sure they'll do right by the original. They better, or the hordes will be at the gates with torches and battering rams in tow.

Agreed, the GNX should be reserved for a top end Grand National RWD turbo V6 coupe.

A modern GNX should be on the new alpha platform.
the only engine should be a 3.6TT making around 400hp

A modern GNX should be a Regal Coupe with RWD with a TT I/V6, that would be dopebeer
