Extensive efforts toward providing long-term durability are incorporated in the new Fiesta to minimize ownership costs for its lifetime operation, maintenance and repair.
Ford India is offering a 2-year/ 100,000 km warranty to further bolster the peace of mind that comes with owning the latest Ford. The years of research, superior materials and the best of engineering also bring to the customer a lower cost of ownership.
Two new Fiesta AT variants
The all-new Fiesta PowerShift Automatic, to be available in two variants– Style and Titanium+ starting at the price of Rs 899,000 and Rs 970,300 for the Titanium+ (Ex-showroom New Delhi), changes the dynamics of comfort and luxury in the segment.
The Style features Auto AC, chrome finisher on deck lid and leather steering wheel that gives the customer a luxurious feel in the interiors. The front fog lamps further enhance the look of the vehicle. In addition to all these features, the top-end Titanium+ will have leather seats, Bluetooth® voice control, alloy wheels, auto power-fold mirrors, reverse parking sensor and chrome front grille, giving a plush and rich feel to the amazing ride experience of customers.
Unlike traditional automatics, the Fiesta PowerShift Automatic is compact and light-weight, delivering 100% of the engine power to the wheels with a best in class fuel efficiency at 16.97 Km/L*.
Superior driving dynamics
Powered by the new top-of-the-line 1.5 L Ti-VCT petrol powertrain developed for India and built in Chennai, the new sedan delivers excellent handling in city as well as highway conditions, without sacrificing its essentially sporty character.
Unlike traditional automatics, the Fiesta PowerShift Automatic does not feature heavy torque-converters and energy-draining oil sumps. Its dry clutch mechanism delivers quicker and smoother gear shifts. Fiesta is equipped with a first-in-segment Cruise Control that adds to the ease of driving as well as EPAS with Pull Drift Compensation technology that adapts to changing road conditions.
The segment’s exclusive PowerShift dry clutch six-speed automatic transmission in the Fiesta will provide a competitive advantage through superior mechanical efficiency and performance improvement. The innovative PowerShift transmission provides the connected feel of a manual transmission, while also providing smooth gear shifts and the convenience of conventional automatic transmission.
The petrol engine is BS-IV emission compliant, meeting the highest emission standards in India. It also allows the new Fiesta to achieve excellent fuel economy. This is a double bonus for the environment and value-conscious customers.
Cruise control, reverse parking sensor, dual front air bags with ABS and EBD, ultra high strength aluminized boron steel body reinforcement and anti-trap driver power windows are features engineered for an engaging and safe drive.
Revolutionary Hill-Assist and Grade-Assist functions
Unlike traditional automatics, the Fiesta PowerShift features an intelligent braking system. Hill Assist holds the car in place for 2.5 seconds, preventing it from rolling back on slopes. Grade Assist allows you to move down a slope at a comfortable speed, without having to use the brakes. Fiesta Powershift also has a Creep Function that makes life easy in crowded areas as it allows you to slowly creep forward in bumper-to-bumper traffic.
Bold kinetic design
At first sight itself, the kinetic design and bold and sexy exteriors of Fiesta appear international and flamboyant, aerodynamic and sporty. From the side, the Fiesta looks like a sprinter ready to spring out of the starting blocks. Fiesta's kinetic design imparts a sense of movement – even while standing still – harmonising ‘unmistakeably Ford' character elements to reflect a strong identity, enabling Fiesta to project an air of confidence, style and individuality.
Intuitive, aesthetic interiors
The new Fiesta Automatic's seductive and aesthetic interiors reveal an advanced technological cockpit which is intuitive and impressively modern.
Fiesta is as dramatic on the inside as it is on the outside. Boldly sculpted surfaces, contrasting colours and comfortable, supportive materials make the interior as individual as someone like Ajay – our target consumer. The instrument panel centre stack – focal point of the new Fiesta interior – was designed to feel as useful and intuitive as the keypad on a mobile phone.
Designers found inspiration in modern consumer electronics to create the futuristic look and feel of the Fiesta’s cabin and driver controls. This new approach to form and function is a reflection of Ford’s Human Machine Interface (HMI) strategy. With high-quality finishing touches in its interior, appealing contemporary materials including leather seats and user interfaces inspired by the latest personal electronics, the All-New Fiesta is no ordinary car. The car also features best-in-class Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH) attributes, in cabin quietness, craftsmanship and quality.
Extreme entertainment and comfort
Intuitive human-machine interface, voice-activated controls – a segment first allows for hands-free control over 6 functions such as Phone, Radio, CD, USB, iPod and Climate control. Integrated Aux-in Port to ‘plug & play’, digital signal processing to enhance sound quality basis seating positions, Intelligent phone utilities to swap, hold, mute and transfer calls are features that further define intelligent and intuitive technology that engages.
Safety from high-strength
Specially tuned front struts, bushings, damper stabiliser bars and a rear twist-beam axle provide sure-footed performance and comfort. Fiesta's ability to hug the road and cruise quietly is made possible by its rigid body structure, which Ford engineers have strengthened in many critical areas. More than 55 percent of the structure uses high-strength steel with ultra-strong boron steel reinforcing several key points. The result is best-in-class occupant safety: passengers are better protected in the event of a side impact. Safety is also enhanced by standard front driver and passenger airbags on all models.
The new Fiesta PowerShift Automatic will benefit from the Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) that helps the Fiesta driver maintain control of the vehicle under unexpected driving conditions, such as an obstacle or slippery road surface. The new PowerShift Fiesta, which is being built at Ford’s Maraimalai Nagar plant, is the first model to be introduced under a plan announced by the company last year to launch eight new global Ford vehicles to India by the middle of the decade.
To further bolster its service network in India, Ford India recently inaugurated 45 brand new sales and service outlets across 35 cities taking its presence to 230 sales and service outlets in 123 cities across India.
