Under the terms being discussed, GM would likely buy a stake of less than 5 percent in Peugeot, the sources said. A deal could be announced in the next few days, although sources warned a deal has not been reached and could still fall apart.

Hopefully both rebadge one another's vehicles so each company gets a variety. Maybe we could get one of their fancy little hatchbacks for Buick, and they could get a LaCrosse rebadge.

A nice way to keep Opel afloat and profiting is to team Opel/Vauxhall with Peugeot/Citroen. Shared technology is Europe while the economy sucks is sure to be a move for longevity. Plus, we in America will get even more tech and even more awesome Buicks! Win win.
