Very Clever commericial. I'm a chevy guy first and then dodge when it comes to trucks. My dad likes all three and wouldn't have a problem buying any of them, but last time we looked at trucks, the fact that the Ford only had a 60,000 mile warranty bothered him quite a bit.

The fact that Ford "only" has a 60,000 mile warranty should have given pause to your father when considering the Dodge (or really any manufacturer that offers the big number mileage warranties).

When I was selling Fords, especially the cars and someone would make a comment about the 100,000 mile warranty on Hyundai's, I would say back to them,"why in the world would you even consider buying a Hyundai if it didn't have that kind of warranty". I was also thinking of how crappy the Hyundai warranty is once you pass the bumper to bumper 36,000 mile point, as it was but I didn't mention that.

If it was that big of a deal, you can always buy an extended warranty for any car or truck. The markups are huge and the prices are cheap enough when you buy them at the initial deal (meaning you can negotiate the price down further).

I am wary of any big time mileage warranty on any vehicle fro the manufacturer. What kind of lack of confidence in the quality of the product must you have to have to entice people to buy using that kind of carrot on a stick?

Answer: not much, in my opinion.

OR

It could be seen as a Vote of confidence in their product. Standing behind it. Giving the customer peace of mind, knowing they are taken care of IF by chance something were to go wrong.

Yes, its a sales ploy... and as McLovin pointed out Ford has been on top for 35+ years, so Ram needs all the help they can get in the sales department.

Never a doubt in my mind as to which is the better truck though

It is a sign of confidence because they believe that they're products will be problem free for 100,000 miles. If they were shitty, why warranty them that long, make it shorter so it's the owner's problem.

Chrysler, heres a heads up. You have a few select products that can easily shade all the rest of the competition. Ram ain't it. Neither the truck nor the company. If anything, an easy target would've been Chevy's crock of old shit trucks, but you go after the F-150??? I swear they just asked to get their feelings hurt.

4 pages of argument about which engine compares to which engine for each respective company, how the F-150 sells the most (hey so does the fucking Camry), inconsistent fuel economy claims in real world situations. how the Ram can legally tow a house, and the Silverado can tow a house plus a boat although somewhat less than legally. you know what, why don't we throw in more essentially meaningless numbers at each other like what each truck owners average penis length is compared to the competition.

or maybe i'll just sit here and clip my toenails, go to sleep and actually catch my 8 am class because none of this will actually affect anything.

TOP motor.

I think Ram still gives you the Hemi at no cost, so it's technically the standard motor.

The 5.0 is more than likely going to be the F series' bread and butter motor.

I'll give the Ram this though... it's probably the best looking truck, either it or the F150.

Not that the Silvy is bad though.

But the 5.7 Hemi is Ram's top engine option, so why isn't it fair to compare top to top. They made it seem as though the 5.0 is the only engine option. And they only offer the Hemi as a no cost option at a certain time a year, not all year long.
