The Fiat 500 America models to debut in 2012 Geneva Motor Show

With only 500 numbered saloon units and 500 numbered convertible units produced, the new Fiat 500 America is celebrating the country where the model was sold in 2011 and where its collaboration with the American pop singer Jennifer Lopez started. The Fiat 500 co-stars with Lopez in her videoclip of the "Papi" track taken from the "Love?" album. An enthralling 30- and 60-second TV commercial was born from this collaboration. In the Saloon version, the 500 America is offered in the exclusive metallic shade America Blue and it is distinguished by mirror covers with "Stars & Stripes" graphics, stickers, dedicated beltline and 16" alloy rims with red cap edge. American inspiration and iconography are also found in the interiors with red/ivory seats and contrasting white dashboard. The white three-layer paint and "Stars & Stripes" mirror covers are combined with the red top and the graphics in the colours of the American flag in the beltline in the convertible version. In this case the elegant 16" alloy wheels are finished with a blue rim edge. The 500 America is equipped as standard with manual air conditioning and is enriched with the kit complete with exterior chrome-plating in both saloon and convertible versions. Lastly, a badge on the pillar bearing the serial number (from 1 to 500) of this ultra-exclusive limited edition makes this car unique. 500 "Color Therapy" The new "500 Color Therapy", another interpretation of the 500, is also on show in Geneva. This brand-new version interprets and expands on the colourful pop-inspired 500 by revisiting and celebrating a few of the pastel colour combinations that made it famous in Italy and around the world in the 1960's and 1970's. This is what inspired the styling of the 500 Color Therapy. The combination of the sky blue body and the white rims introduced on the 500 in 1957, together with white details such as the mirror covers and the new "short-fin" antenna, give the 500 a modern and romantic essence at the same time. In addition to the blue shown in Geneva, the 500 Color Therapy will be available in another 4 pastel shades, including the elegant coffee cream of the 1960's and the legendary yellow ochre of 1968. The theme of combining white and pastels continues on the inside as well, from the original design of the "poolball" gear lever knob to the exclusive dedicated key cover. The 500 Color Therapy will be available with manual climate control and pollen filter as standard starting from June on both saloon and convertible versions. Fiat 500 by Gucci, the unrivalled elegance of Italian style At the stand in Geneva the public will also have the chance to admire the convertible 500 by Gucci version, customised by Gucci Creative Director Frida Giannini in collaboration with the Centro Stile Fiat. The "500 by Gucci", on the market since the end of June 2011 and today sold in more than 40 countries (including the Middle East, Japan, Singapore and Hong Kong), has up until now topped a total of 2,600 orders in little more than six months. The car on display in Geneva flaunts the exclusive Lux Black glitter paint finish combined with elegant shiny chrome-plated accents. "500C by Gucci" equipment includes the black soft top with the Gucci web pattern printed lengthwise (the same graphic pattern is sported on the side of the saloon). Attention to detail and a feeling of elegance and style are enhanced in this new version, and made even more attractive by the innovative electric soft top for opening a "window onto the sky". The exterior of the Fiat "500C by Gucci" is also embellished by 16" alloy wheels characterised by the unmistakable retro design of the spokes, in perfect harmony with the exterior colours: an absolute first for cars in this category. The hub caps have a double "G" logo in matching body colour and the Gucci signature in italics is displayed on the tailgate and on the door pillar. The passenger compartment of the Fiat 500 by Gucci also brims with style: stylish stitching, exclusive materials, satin and polished chrome-plated elements, a velvet-effect finish on the radio panel and two-tone Frau leather seats with Guccissima print. The "Gucci" web theme also appears on the seats, gearbox, key cover, mats and, with an innovative finish, on the seat belts. The Fiat "500C by Gucci" will of course come complete with a great deal of standard equipment: automatic climate control system, seven airbags (front, side, window and knee), Blue&Me system integrated with rear parking sensors, car radio with CD-MP3 player and leather steering wheel with radio controls. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
