You are such a fool. Yes it works. It doesn't work very good but it works.

It has a high room standard for working, but nothing I've seen says it works any worse than Ford's system. Still parks the car.

From Ford's own brochure, why their system is better:

If anyone knows how to post a PDF, go right ahead. I don't know how....

I push one button on my Ford, the system tells me it found a space, I put the car in reverse and about 7 seconds later it is parked perfectly. After two years I have never had it be parked, "OK", every time it is perfect! And I mean 6 inches from the curb, car straight in the space perfect!

No playing a fucking video game, lining up some cursor. No needing a space twice the size of my Ford(Hell, you should see some of the spaces I've parked at in the City of Chicago! You talk about small!)

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here? Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

Being Camera based is also a negative for the Toyota system. Dust and road grime easily make it inoperative.

Or maybe not. If you are on any sort of a downward incline, the system won't work. It operates only at the "creeping" speed attainable on level ground without using the gas pedal. And if you lift your foot off the brake pedal too much, the car starts going too fast and the system won't work.

Using Parking Assist, ironically, takes practice. If it all goes well, the steering wheel turns at just the right times and you get into the space.

Sort of. It doesn't really center the car in the space so you have to pull the car forward a bit. It also tends to leave the car a bit too far from the curb.

So in conclusion............

The FORD Park Assist is faster, more acurate and more versatile than the Toyota system. You can even use it on hills, and apply throttle if needed.

Active Park Assist is available for as low as $395 Lexus starts at $500.
