RE: Will they go any lower?
Many dealerships have idiots pretending to be car guys as salesmen. You need to teach them, Dude.

RE: Will they go any lower?
Okay, I have the window sticker on that Taurus. Original MSRP was $32,990.00. Invoice was $30988 and holdback is approx $960.00. Take out the $2500 in cash incentives and we have a net price of $27,528.00. Mileage at 20 cents/mile is $3837.00 and we are left with $23,691.00...

Dealer is asking $24995.00 so that's about a $1300 deal. That's a fair deal - approx 5%, and they have no other monies coming to them - so any discount you get should be considered "gravy". If your dad is serious, get your butts over to Germaine Ford (they are in Columbus, OH) and buy this car.

Anywho, according to this link the cars has been on the lot for 30 days. Anyone think they would take 21 or 22k?

I can get you the window sticker and probably the invoice on any new and most pre-owned Tauruses (or any Ford) anywhere in the country - but you need to be serious about it. Is your dead ready to pull the trigger?

By the way, these "Cargurus" dolts say this car has nav when it clearly does not.

Give me 5 minutes and I'll get the window sticker for you.
He's serious, and he was ready to pull the trigger on that other Taurus pending the final price, but they sold it as I said earlier.
The two problems with this Taurus is that it's 2 hours away in Columbus, and is selling for almost 25k. If we could get it for a few thousand cheaper he might be willing to go up there.

You can send it if it's not too much trouble. Can only salesmen look this up? I don't really want to bother you again if he decides not to get this Taurus.

And btw, I thought Sync had navigation with it idk

Oh ok thanks. I don't know if he will want to spend that much, but I will see. Is that price difference from the other Taurus solely because of the 11k less miles?

Sync has "turn-by-turn" directions, basically point A to point B vocal guidance, and it is provided free for the first three years the car is in service. After that it costs $60 per year.

As for the Ford window stickers, click on this link and then save it as one of your "favorites" in your browse. What you do is copy and paste the VIN of any Ford vehicle manufactured after 2007 AFTER the = sign:

http://services.forddirect.fordvehicles....r.pdf?vin=

That's the generic link. For example, the link to THIS Taurus window sticker is http://services.forddirect.fordvehicles....WXBG158352

See where I inserted the VIN?

As for invoice info, you need me to do that.

Yes, the difference in price is due to the mileage and the fact that this car is painted "Red Candy" which is a $395 retail option.

You can try to get this Taurus for less; just understand that the price the dealer has listed (actually $24,986) is a very fair deal for you. He's entitled to make some money but he doesn't need to be stupid. If he comes down even $500, jump on it.

Anything other than a real nav with a GUI is on par with asking a woman for directions.

Oh ok, I just call that navigation too lol :tounge:

And thanks for that link! If he decides he doesn't want to spend that much, it'll be very helpful when looking on autotrader considering the options aren't listed right or aren't listed at all half the time.

Why, is it usually wrong or something? We would only use it on vacation, but my dad and I would rather use a map anyway lol. My mom would be the only one using it, although she gets lost anyway laugh

1) REAL men don't ask for directions - they just know where to go. I've driven across the US twice (California to NJ) and I didn't have, nor did I need, nav. Then again, Tonavi drives a Yaris so I understand why he needs nav.

2) If you have a smartphone, you have nav. Google Maps is free and it has an excellent realtime GPS nav. Why pay $2000 for an on-board nav? If you feel you must spend that money, send it to me. I'll put it to good use.

I have driven across the country myself a few times without nav or a smartphone. I plan it on Google maps, write my own directions, and carry a road atlas in the car. Never been lost. My mom on the other hand gets lost within 5 miles of her house WITH an in dash nav.

lmao

I understand - It's gotta be a woman thing. You could give my ex a map, a GPS, a compass, and a trail of breadcrumbs and she'd still get lost 5 miles from home.

Yea I have google maps. Haven't really used it though haha.

And I have yet to meet a woman who knows how to drive or doesn't get lost all the time. I can't understand how they can be so bad! idk

But you could take a woman to any mall in the world, drop her off, and she'd instantly know her way around. She even remembers where she parked, which is a huge plus. :2thumbsup:

pfft. My ex couldn't find her spot if she parked right out front.

My Mom's the same way, too... sigh

It's much worse than that. You can take any woman to a mall she's never been to before, blindfold her, and she'll still make a beeline straight to The Most Expensive Store In The Mall, whereupon she will find The Most Expensive Item In The Store.

And if she has your credit card, you're fucked.
