Doesn't mean I can't. I don't want him to screw up Chrysler for the sake of bringing Fiat and Alfa back to the U.S.

if you have been paying attention to the Fiat side of things, he is getting tired dealing with the Fiat side and the unions over in Italy.... at this point, if he could say frak it and kick fiat out the door he would

I know that, but he also wants to bring the two brands back state side, which would overlap with the current hierarchy of ChryCo. Alfa is a performance brand like Dodge and Fiat would be competing for the lower end of the lineup. I personally think Fiat should be limited to the 500 and it's variants and Alfa to a small roadster.

Remember though that Jeep/Ram/Dodge/Chrysler are all sold now under one roof period. Not many other manufacturers do this.

That can be good and bad though. Good for the obvious reasons but bad because it prevents Chrysler from moving upmarket if they chose to try.

It could force them too to differentiate themselves from Dodge.

Sergio doesn't want vehicle over lap without some major changes. Right now I trust the man to make the right choices with what we have seen.

We still have the Dakota coming back in new form as well.

True but Lexuses and Toyotas aren't sold in the same dealerships for that reason. Same thing for Nissan/Infiniti and Chevy/Cadillac (for the most part).

Fords and Lincolns are though. They can have overlap without making it obvious. If you want a sporty midsize, go with the Dodge, want something more luxurious, then Chrysler is your choice.

I wouldn't exactly call Lincoln a success. Since Chrysler doesn't really want to move upmarket I think sharing a showroom could be for the better. If they want to compete with Audis and BMWs they should separate it. Dodge, Ram, Jeep, Chrysler, and Fiat are all relatively small brands so it won't crowd too much.

RE: Chrysler may drop the Dodge Avenger within three years
When Fiat saved Chrysler... the PLAN was to move Chrysler in the direction of Cadillac, with the intentions of competing with them down the road a bit.... the plan seems to have changed alil, but I imagine its still in the works.... I mean, you dont just come out and compete with Caddy out of no where, you have to build a reputation

I am kinda pondering what ol Serg is doing here. I just hope it is a success.

The best there was and the best there ever will be.
