My claims are all factual from people who have conducted research on trends in the automotive industry. I dare anybody to visit Googlescholar and read up on the topic before spewing their bullshit here.

BMW just reported a record year in 2011. They must really be "diluting" the brand if it resonates with consumers at such a high level, and gets named "World's Best Performance Brand" by KBB.

Idiot, who has seriously challenged them? Porsche was excluded because of their overall price. BMW got voted by KBB because of their ability to have value positioned cars like he 3series in the $30K range. "World's Best Performance Brand" by the good people at Kelly Blue Book, is hardly a praise I'd sing. What the frak.. does KBB have to do with Performance worth?

You can say that again. The V looks mean along with being fast.

The V, R, AMG, are all far more striking vehicles to look at or be seen in. In the end they are all fast as crap so what is a few mph here or a few seconds there?

I think BMW lost their way after the E46.

They lost their way after they started using Forced Induction motors on the M cars. The M series is supposed to be all naturally aspirated.

The death of the NA I6 period was a huge diss to BMW fans. A buddy of mine has an E36 with the 2.8L I6, it has 144K on the clock. You can still run the car with a glass of water on the intake and it barely makes a ripple. The I4 turbo will never replace what made the I6 great.

I'd love to see a 4cyl that smooth. You know... without cheating.

BMW did what they had to do to stay competitive and get profits. I can't blame them for that but it sure as hell sucks for us purists.

Three types of people buy M cars. The first are band wagon idiots who buy them for the badge. The second are just idiots and the third are the smallest, and the most quickly shrinking demographic, enthusiasts and intelligent people.

The only M car that BMW has that I want is the M3 CSL. No iDrive = :2thumbsup:
