The new, highly anticipated 2013 Ram 1500 is here. Nearly 200 dealers gathered at the Palace of Auburn Hills (Mich.) to deliver the new 2013 Ram 1500 to dealerships across Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky.

“The new Ram 1500 is the truck folks are talking about,” said Fred Diaz, President and CEO Ram Truck Brand and Chrysler Mexico. “Customers are returning to the pickup-truck market. With best-in-class 25-mile-per-gallon fuel efficiency and class-exclusive features, buyers have been anxious to get behind the wheel and check the Ram 1500 out for themselves.”

The event is one of several across the United States that the automaker is hosting as part of the truck’s official launch.

The vehicles coming out today are 2013 Ram 1500 Big Horn editions, the most popular Ram models across the nation. Depending on the dealer, the vehicles being driven away today will be available for test drives and sale this afternoon.

“Ram 1500 production began just a couple of weeks ago, and our dealers are really excited to get them,” added Diaz. “The 2013 Ram 1500 is setting a new standard for the industry.”

For 2013, the new Ram 1500 offers buyers best-in-class fuel efficiency, new technology and new features without sacrificing capability. Ram 1500 – the most recognizable pickup on the road – raises the bar with a truckload of pioneering, fuel-saving systems and first-in-segment technologies: eight-speed TorqueFlite 8 transmission, stop-start and active aerodynamics, including grille shutters and air suspension.

Ram engineers changed every area of the truck – from a newly designed frame to new engines and transmissions to a new interior with the next-generation Uconnect® system. With best-in-class ride and handling and best-in-class aerodynamics, the 2013 Ram 1500 delivers unmatched content, performance and capability to truck buyers.

The 2013 Ram 1500 is available in nine trim levels and starts at $23,585 including $995 destination charge.

Rams are like Volvos and Saabs. People buy them to be different...not because they are better.

LOL and people buy Ford's because they are stupid fucks. Funny thing, my brother's boss told him that he had to sell his Dodge and buy a Ford if he wanted to stay employed. My brother was the only one driving a Dodge. Now his boss drives a 2013 Ram and his boss's dad drives a new Challenger RT and wouldn't own a Mustang. Nice having former Ford owner's endorse Mopar.

Smart move. No self respecting American should be driving any truck but a FORD.

From now on FORD must always be typed using full CAPS.

Whats funny All or Nothing or is that I drive a Ford so carry an oil can at all times, but the same boss that told him to sell his Dodge is now Driving a new Ram and told me he has never been happier. His, dad also a so called Ford fan bought a new Challenger RT and loves the hell out of it. I tell you what Full oil Can, send me toilet paper with Ford printed on it and I will promise to use it!!!beer By the way, my brother has been employed in the automotive field since '75 and he says the vehicle with the most problems are F-series Fords. I believe it because my 2006 company F-250 is having front end issues with only 57,000 miles on the clock. Oh, forgot to mention that when my brother's boss told him to buy a Ford, my brother replied, " Go frak yourself!"

Best thing about a Ford is when it breaks down on a freezing stormy night, and it will, it will self-ignite and keep you warm.rofl

I am telling you my brother says there shop works on more F-Series trucks than anything else. Not lying about it so you can make jokes all day long.
The fact is, you came in here talking out your ass and I responded. Fact is, people buy Dodge or Ram trucks because of past experiences with them or because styling, power, whatever attracted them to the brand. Same thing for Ford, GM, Toyota, Nissan or...
Get a clue a o n, I couldn't give a damn what you drive or prefer, that is your business but for someone who cries like a Republican about how abused Ford is on this site, you sure like to sling mud for no reason too.WINK

Eh, it's a ram...

Everyone knows the only important trucks are the F-150 and Silverado.

Ram is the underestimated underdog. They are the first to use an 8 speed, coil shocks, and air suspension. And now they are the fuel economy king.
