The additional workers will be added to the company’s existing two shifts, said Chrysler spokeswoman Jodi Tinson.

About 2,700 work at the plant now.

Chrysler is advertising on the Web for part-time hourly workers and full-time, temporary workers at this Web site:

The Dart is expected to be the first credible small car for any Chrysler brand in years.

Would have been more jobs but some of that number will go to Hyundai Employees building it's transmission....coffee

Does Hyundai make good transmissions? I dont follow Hyundai much, so I dont know one way or the other
