RE: Makes sense to me
There is a nugget of truth in the little rant.
Our safety net programs do remove the incentive to work for many people. I'm quite appalled by the "phone stamp" program that provides free mobile phones to food stamp (SNAP) recipients (and other program beneficiaries). http://times247.com/articles/2-1b-phone-...with-fraud It does sometimes feel like the joke is on those who work for a living and pay taxes. I didn't start out rich our well off. I did start off with a family that had high expectations. Not being a lazy bum was one of the expectations. I was expected to find something useful to do, whether I got paid for it or not. That old idleness is the playground of the devil saying? My family believed work was virtuous and that fancy titles didn't make you a better person. But work does. _______________ Free Agent auto customer, released by Mercury June 2, 2010 |
