Today was....interesting.

I work at a clinic and do rounds at two hospitals as an intern. Its not exactly eventful but you get to experience quite a bit. The pay is decent but the hours are horrid. I went in at 5AM and just got home around 10PM. I had two interesting patients in today. I'm not allowed to divulge the nature of their medical condition so lets just say they had some issue that needed to be treated. One was a middle aged lady, two kids, happily married, rich, etc. She went on line to webmd.com and some other site and diagnosed her own problem. So my question to her was "why did you come here then? you clearly know what is wrong." She said that she tried certain medication and it didn't work and she still has the symptoms and they have gotten worse. I then proceeded to ask her what the internet said she should do and as I was saying this I had a wry smile and said it in a tone that you speak to little children with. She didn't notice the tone I was giving her and continued as to what she went through. I had to hold back so much laughter its not even funny. Finally she stopped her explanation and basically just made her feel like an idiot for even doing what she did given her condition since it was much more serious than she had thought. I then laughed at her for doing so. she immediately got defensive and started to back peddle. I had her reeling back faster than Lebron's receding hair line, it was great. Because of her blatant stupidity, the woman is going to need surgery and quite some recovery time. Moral of that story, a doctor is a professional who knows his shit, go to a doctor (and the right one at that) to get better. I wouldn't go to a freaking chef asking about home plumbing, same concept applies to you.

The same day, albeit much later, I'm talking to one of the nurses at the hospital. She's super cute, just got out of a bad relationship, very flirty and fun. She drives a RSX, typical cute girl car. We were talking, having a good convo, she asks about my car and how its coming along. I told her that I haven't had time to work on it and that was all I said about my car. (I know better than to talk about cars to girls) She brings up her car and how she thinks she needs an oil change because she hasn't had it done in a while, and then she said I should get a RSX so we can park next to each other and stuff, I chuckled and said I couldn't drive a RSX and that I thought it was a cute girl car (I see tons of girls driving them around) and that I prefer RWD and more power. Her and I didn't notice that there was a guy outside the lounge that overheard everything her and I were talking about. He walked over and was really upset about what I just said because he said "The RSX is a great car, I have one, I haven't lost to anyone yet!" No lie, I can't make this shit up! I was like "ok, thats cool, I still don't care for one." After I said that I look back at her and go to continue our conversation and was about to ask how her weekend was but he didn't like what I said at all. He continues to challenge me, "I can beat your ass in whatever POS you have." I chuckle and said "thats great, I bet you could, I could care less too." This seemed to infuriate him so much I swear I saw steam billowing from his ears. He asked what I had, I politely told him nothing because I'm rebuilding my car. He asked what it was, so I told him. He told me that he could beat me and that his car was stock with a turbo. I raised my eybrow and asked him how it was stock if he turboed it? He said he has an E-Bay turbo kit bolted onto the stock exhaust and is boosting 12psi without a tune (he seemed to put the emphasis on the without a tune part as if that was impressive or something). I literally was dying of laughter when he said that, I laughed in his face then I started to ask him questions about the car as if I was interested. I asked him how his car is running without a tune and that much air and fuel being dumped into the engine and how he has a stock exhaust on it and if it has a turbo manifold. He said it doesn't need a turbo manifold, its a K20 and it has v-tec to apparently it doesn't need a turbo manifold, you can bolt the turbo right on the engine. I laughed even harder and asked him if he even knew what he was talking about. The nurse started to chuckle gave me a look as if to tell me to go easy on him and walked away laughing. I took a piece of paper out of the printer and explained to him why he was an idiot. I know my Honda 4-cylinders very well, so I told him why you need a turbo manifold and why he is an idiot for going with 12psi of boost on a stock block without a tune and with an Ebay turbo kit. I didn't think it was even possible but he got even angrier. He said I didn't know anything and that I was just a doctor and that his cams are better than the cams in my car. I said that his cams are better seeing as my car doesn't have cams. He looked so confused and flustered and he walked away slamming the door shut to the waiting lounge.

Also, a family friend (not a close one) is a nosy slut. She needs to know about everyone's business and acts as if she is a saint but she is divorced three times, her son is my age and is a failure, her daughter is seven and is a complete brat. So she told my parents something I wasn't planning on telling them about my work path that I was going to break to them gently. She goes up and starts talking about it and tells them whatever she knew (which wasn't much but enough to get them upset). I asked her how she knew and she said that one time when her and I were talking I said that I'm not sure about what I was going to do and so she decided to snoop around and become frakking Sherlock Holmes. I went off on her. I don't bring in other peoples personal issues into arguments or whatever, I do my best to keep it clean and not dirty. I am really amazed I didn't bring all her faults into it but I basically told her to stay out of my life and mind her own damn business and that what I do and say to my parents is my business and how I tell them is not up to her seeing as how I know my parents better than she does. She went and told my aunt, my aunt is now pissed at me for sounding off on her. My cousins are all happy that I did because she ruins their lives. She is their cousin, I don't consider her family because I don't like her. So this weekend is going to be great because I see all my aunts and uncles and will have to explain everything to them. I already told them I'm not apologizing for anything that I'm going to say and that its their problem for messing with me in the first place.

You are correct, you should not ever apologize (TO ANYONE) for being yourself and living your life and having your own conception of how it should be (caveat is if your plans include something stupid then I take back all I just wrote and I will crack your skull open like an egg, myself!!! Hehe)

Secondly, get back to that hospital (STAT!), get back to that nurse and get to getting us some pics!!!! (OK, that is the dirty old man talking now)

Thank you boys. I'm glad you find the rants entertaining. I hold back quite a bit until I have enough to vent out. It makes for fun times.

No, why would I race him? Its a waste of time and I wouldn't have any dignity if I went down to his pathetic level. I don't need to prove anything to anyone. Non-competitive? I'm very competitive, I just don't care about stupid ass fools who think they can measure penis size by getting in a car and going fast on a highway.

Race is a race to me, I don't see it as a waste but as a challenge, win or lose
