Forum rep points
This is not directed at any one member in particular; it is simply my reaction to somethiing that was brought to my attention recently.

Some of you are engaging in a "battle of negative rep points"...

Really? Are your lives that sad that you have to act like little kids and knock each other's "reps" down? And then you worry about the result? Is it REALLY that important?

I don't know how many rep points I have, nor do I care. Sure, I appreciate it when somebody throws a point my way but in the grand scheme of things, internet rep points are about as meaningful to me as previously-enjoyed toilet paper.

As far as your actual forum reputation, if you have concerns then take a good long look in the mirror and ask your self what you have done to earn the negative or positive rep you have. The perception your fellow members have of you is determined solely by what you yourself have put out there.

That just had me rolling.

I agree with this. As if negative rep is really going to reprimand the person or vindicate their posts for whatever reason.

RE: Forum rep points
I had no idea people were having a 'battle' over this.
A lot of members here take CF too seriously. Posting in a car forum should be a small hobby not something that becomes significant in the daily routine of your life.

RE: Forum rep points
Why are negative rep points even allowed? It just seems like the only reason you would give one is if you were attempting to provoke unrest and disturbance within our modest circle of associate poster contemporaries.

What ^ he said. coffee

“The build sheet is the wish list of any racer: lightweight high-revving dry-sump LS7 engine; carbon-ceramic brakes; integrated coolers; true aerodynamic downforce, and a significant reduction in curb weight. This car could only come from Chevrolet, and could only be called the Z/28.”
