That's because you are too young and not around in the sixties. The '67 Mustang handled better than the Camaro, but guess what, the Barracuda showed it's taillights to both of them.
Magazine writers back in the day were just as effed up as today's so called writer's. In a three way test, the Barracuda bested the Mustang and Camaro in all performance test's but came in second to the Mustang because bucket seats were not standard in the Barracuda and with bucket seat's, the Barracuda was slightly higher priced over the 'Stang. Believe it or not, bucket seat's were not standard on the Camaro. The info came from a publication covering Barracuda's from 1964 through 1974. I believe it was a reprint from a Motor Trend test from '67.
