The past year or so my truck has been having trouble cranking. It doesn't do it all the time, just every so often.
Whenever I get in to crank it,I will turn the key over and let the fuel pump cycle, after I hear it cut off it will normally crank within one or two tries.Anyway,it done it yesterday and this was the worst one yet... I get in to crank it,let it cycle, then turn the key. Nothing. So I try again, nothing. Again normally,it would have cranked by now. But no,I sit there and try getting it cranked for 15-20min. Finally when I'm about to say *** it,I try one more time and it cranks. By this point I'm pissed. I had a 1/4 tank of gas so it wasn't low. I park on a level surface. It also wasn't the battery, obviously. I tried cranking it so much,I could tell the battery was getting weaker.
My guess is the fuel pump is starting to go out,but I'm not sure.
Any ideas on what it could be?idk
Your terminology is confusing.
When you say you got it to crank, do you mean you got it to start?

And it does not sound like your fuel pump. Not sure what you got going on, so if you want to elaborate more, specs, hardware, etc. I can try to diagnose.
By got it to crank I do mean start
and
There really isn't anything else to elaborate on honestly.
Your truck probably just has a sense of humor
Cranking=Turning over

Starting= firing or to fire brickwall

timing could be fuckered, might not be getting spark, might not be getting fuel..... the possibilities are nearly endless, Peaches.

Im agreeing with Spooks on this, your truck has a sense of humor and hates you for planning to replace its heart
Check your fuel pressure regulator.
I think my truck does hate me for planning to replace it's heart...rofl
and
I'll try AoN
Headlight fluid.
Its pissed becuase your not giving it a HEMI so it refuses to start laugh
I doubt it's a timing issue, that's computer controlled.

A common problem with the 4.3 is the CPI goes out. Could be that...

I would check the FPR like AoN said, and check your fuel filter, too.
Does the fuel pump run every time you turn key to on?

It does cycle everytime I turn the key
Replace your engine. Any reputable shop will tell you this.
