It does look like a Thunderbird. Maybe it's some sort of Mercury Thunderbird.
It also looks sort of Russian.

But it definitely isn't called Thunderbird

I know what it is, but the forward canted headlight shrouds reminded me of a decade later Buick Wildcat.
