Hey guys,
One of my friends emailed me a link on cars.com for a pre-owned ML320.
Price: $8988
Mileage: 67,646
Year: 2000
Is this a good deal or can I get this at a lower price?
My suggestion is to just stay away from those things. They're not reliable at all but if thats what he wants, then tell him to go for it.

Is the ML series that bad? I heard some negative reviews about it and how parts would easily break down.
My dad was thinking about picking up another car for work because I currently have his RX 300.
It was perhaps the worst car ever built by Mercedes in my opinion. My old boss had a black ML320 that we took in on trade and that thing had electrical issues and climate control issues that had to be taken to a MB dealership. $3000 later, the problems kept reoccurring. My uncle has a ML500 and that thing is plagued with electrical issues. The foglights (front and rear, the car has both) needed to be replaced, then the wiring to them, then the locking 4x4 didn't work, the gauge cluster illumination went, and the check engine light keeps turning on. A few thousand dollars later, the check engine light comes and goes. My uncles car goes through brakes often (could be how he drives) and that costs a ton too. They ride really rough, not exactly spacious, and are tippy. If he does get it, I wish him the best of luck with it and all the best and I hope he enjoys it. Just don't be surprised if it needs a considerable amount of work and make sure you have a couple thousand ready just in case. When you buy a high mileage European car, you can expect things to go wrong. They're not exactly the most reliable.
CarFax.

The worst Mercedes next to the C-class coupe. If your dad really wants a mercedes please get an E-class since they're at least somewhat better.
The first-gen ML is pretty terrible. You'll be better off with any other CUV.
