They just announced Canadian pricing for the ATS 2.0T and it's the same starting price as the Regal turbo. Absolutely don't get it there. I'll be shopping this time next year and if pricing remains the same I'll be going Caddy for sure, unless I get a Volt....
Which one would you go for?
Bit of a no brainer innit. Sometimes I think GM doesn't really want Buick to succeed.

Well lets see, more power, RWD, monumentally better chassis, not that much smaller, much more tech, and looks better.
I only wish MRC was an option on lower models. Then again, for $48K altogether on a 2.0T Premium your saving thousands over a comparable 328i or C250.
Call me crazy.... but I actually think the Regal looks better of the two....
They both look AMAZING however and because they would be the same price, id have to go with the Caddy

Thats a good biatch, doing what I tell you

Ill make sure not to beat you later

A 2.0 Luxury with the manual, cold weather pack, CUE nav pack, and 18in polished wheels for $41K is a steal. Luxury's and Performance' has the same suspension tune (FE2 sport) and brembo brakes. Base have normal brakes and regular FE2. Premium's have brembo's and FE3 paired with MRC. LSD is only on the Premium, as well as staggered tires (255/35 rear, 225/40 front).
Add in my corporate discount, and some extra haggling and I could get out the door for about $37-38K.
The Premium is a must in this situation, there is no reason not to get it when spending this kind of money
Dumb question, but does the 'cold weather pack' include snow tires?
Not in the US. Its pretty much just heated seats.
Just curious. Now that I've experienced what happens to aluminum rims here in the 'rust belt', snows with steel wheels are a must. After 4 winters the rims for the GP needed to be refinished and the tires were losing air fast. I switched to snow tires beginning the winter of '07 and we made sure we got the snows (with steel rims) for the Astra too. At least now they make some nice looking '5 spoke' steel rims that make the car look pretty stealth...
Aluminum rims these days are a lot better. As for losing air, all you do is clean the corrosion off.
Don't know why, Goodyears, my least favorite tires, seem to always cause the most corrosion. That's just from my experience, both as a tech and as a service writer.
I like both the Regal Turbo and the ATS styling. I've loved everything I've ever driven with the 2.0 liter GM Ecotec Turbo. I'm more inclined to FWD for Iowa Minnesota. RWD would be okay in Phoenix. I'd want the ATS, but practicality would probably induce me to look to the Buick for the upper Midwest. Having driven the Buick Regal Turbo, I was quite impressed. It is about my perfect FWD car. It was unbelievably fun to drive and it "fit" me perfectly like a well-tailored suit. Pricing makes sense. Regal Turbo is top of the Regal line. the base ATS should pick up there and move north.

Did you drive the Turbo or the GS? The GS is about $4,000 more than a base 2.0 ATS (Canadian pricing, that is). I'm in the snow belt too, so the FWD is definitely a consideration, but I'm really liking what I see about the Caddy, and I've got to start thinking seriously about this over the next year... Tough problem to have eh!
