Finally caved in and decided to run my truck at the strip tonight. It was a 1/8 track. It was test an tune night,so any and everything was welcome to run. FYI:This is a pretty small track,so whatever can be ran can be taken down the track.
I ran it 9 time in 3pass increments.
8 passes went smoothly. On the 9th as soon as I launched, check engine light came on. Not sure what it could be,but it doesn't seem to be anything major as it is running fine. No strange noises,vibrations,or leaks. My guess is something just came loose.
But anyway,
My first run was as follows
RT-.54 (Yes,that's a horrible RT,but it was my very first pass. Also,I pulled to far forward,so I had to back up and get it back into D. As soon as I got it into D, the lights started counting down,so I couldn't stall the engine up)
60ft-2.49
330ft-7.17
594ft-10.35
1/8-11.0692 @ 63.36mph

My best run was as follows
RT-.2
60ft-2.41
330ft-6.9
594ft-10.08
1/8-10.7820 @ 64.58mph

Oddly enough,my next run following my best run,I had a better reaction @ 0.0219(My best RT of the night) but my overall time and speed was slower.
Stats on this run are as follow

1/8-10.87 @ 63.81

Overall I gotta say I'm pretty happy with my runs. Especially considering this was my first time running down the strip.

I'd find out about that check engine light though. I'm liking those numbers dude, nice job.

If I had to guess,it could be a ABS code.
I wouldn't think it would be major. As everything worked perfect. Transmission shifted fine,engine revved fine.
Who knows. Getting it checked tomorrow though :2thumbsup:

Around an average of 3mins
As I said,I did runs in 3s. With a 15-20min cool down between each set

It was pretty damn fun. My friend rode with me almost everytime though. So I could probably knock off a tenth or so without him. Even the guy running the lights,whom me and my dad both know,said it should break 10.5's with just me. To me,that seems a little optimistic,but you never know. NCGuy got his Xtreme to hit 10.04 at 70mph. Which I'm way off from

Cool. It's a blast isn't it. I'm hoping to get to the strip again this year. Just gotta get my 13.5 out of the G8. The tires are getting old though so I might be a tad optimistic expecting faster times on tires that are now 4 years old...

I wanna see my dads friends G8 run.
It's supercharged and is making 565 at the rear
